College Sweethearts | Shawnee Oklahoma Engagement

A few weeks ago I drove out to Shawnee, Oklahoma for Abby & Christian's engagement session. They met while on the track team at Oklahoma Baptist University, so of course we had to incorporate some of that into their session (see very bottom of the post!)

I posted this story when I first shared a preview on Instagram, but I'm sharing it here again. For whatever reason I always walk away from engagement sessions with hilarious and interesting stories. Abby was out driving a few weeks before our session and came across this beautiful property with a pond, willow trees, rolling hills and an old barn. So she left a note on the front door of the house there with her number, asking to take pictures here. A few days later an elderly lady who lived there said sure, just don't drive on the grass. Not a problem haha. But while we were there the man who lived there was spraying the entire property with what I assume was weed killer, so that was fun.

Anyway, I'm super glad Abby took a chance and wrote this woman a note. We had a ton of fun, laughed a lot, and I think the pictures turned out alright ;-)
