Nearly a year ago I sat next to Susan & Matt at a surprise birthday dinner for a mutual friend. I knew them from church, but not quite knew them yet. They asked about photographing their son's birthday party, but it just wasn't in the cards at that point to have me come around.

Fast forward to Susan announcing their pregnancy a few months ago, and I secretly crossed my fingers in hopes they'd contact me :)

A week before mother's day Matt emailed me that he wanted to surprise Susan with this, and it was seriously the most fun surprise to be a part of! She tells me that she was nearly in tears when she found out. There were lots of candies (aka bribery) for their son Jude, and lots of laughs, and it was a great evening together.
